history:Rosalin Bronte was never "normal," not by today's standards, at least. Lilith's mother was a professor of creative writing and also taught a mythology class at the University of New York. Rosalin was eccentric, obsessed with folklore and the dark side of human nature. She studied myths about terrible beasts, and was particularly interested in vampires, werewolves, and witchcraft. Nevertheless, Rosalin was a young, beloved teacher, renowned for her ability to really connect with students...then, she got pregnant and everything changed. The father of such a child? A man named Joseph, who owned a coffee shop in NYC. He accidentally got Rosalin pregnant one drunken night, causing both of their worlds to be turned upside down.
At first, Rosalin was pissed off. She was pregnant. Her life, her career, was over. She fought and argued with Joseph, asking him how he let this happen, this little monster that was growing inside of her. This little phase went on for awhile, until Rosalin's sister, Gwendolin managed to calm her down. Rosalin then moved away from the city and settled down in Sleepy Hollow with her sister. A few months had passed, and Rosalin still hadn't heard from Joseph. She called him multiple times, and even went all the way back to the city to see if she could locate him...she never found him. Despite all of this, Rosalin was determined. She didn't need Joesph to help her, or anyone else for that matter, it even took her a very long time to accept Gwen's help.
Finally, after a few more months, Rosalin gave birth to a baby girl after hours of labor. Rosalin named her daughter 'Lilith,' after one of her favorite characters in mythology, and also for her dark hair. (Lilith means 'of the night,' by the way.) Rosalin went back to Gwen's house, and the three of them lived there for a couple of years until Rosalin made enough money to buy an old Victorian mansion on the outskirts of Sleepy Hollow. Rosalin and Lilith lived in that old, broken house for about nine years. When Lilith entered junior high in Sleepy Hollow, her world was shaken. The other kids called her 'scary' and 'creepy' for her love of spiders and spooky movies and books, and her scary mom. Lilith was constantly teased and was called 'Witch Girl' by her classmates, resulting in only one friend during that time period.
High school wasn't any better. Lilith did, however, obtain a boyfriend whom she loved very much. Her boyfriend turned around and broke her heart like so many high school boys do. He even started some sort of rumor that she was going to cast a spell on him, after seeing her carrying around this book. Lilith was sad for a moment, then suddenly enraged and slapped the boy right in front of everyone at school. The principal wasn't too happy about this and suspended her right then and there, much to the dismay of her mother. Rosalin marched right into that school and chewed the principal out, to no avail. Lilith was still suspended and there was nothing she could do about it. During her high school days in Sleepy Hollow, she also picked up the violin and is still playing it today.
Despite all of her hardships, Lilith had a few very good friends and loved Sleepy Hollow and all its mystery and folklore. This is the reason why she was so extremely heartbroken when her mother said she wanted to move...to California of all places. Lilith refused to act like a child, though, so she swallowed her pride and forced herself to move all the way across the country to a sunny, glamorous state, a place that she does not fit in. At all. Lilith has only been here in California for about a week and she already hates it, and she already has had some odd looks cast her way...
How fun.

role play example:The noise of the pub echoed painfully in Aaiden's head. He barely got any sleep the night before (grading stuff), and he had been running off a caffeine high for the past six hours. He was exhausted, and he guessed that a Pub in a town like Wolf Creek wasn't the best place to go when you were tired...but there was something about all the noise and commotion that made Aaiden more comfortable, so he could get lost in the crowd. It wasn't exactly an easy feat, though. He always had someone coming up and talking to him, sweet Mrs. Benson, the elderly lady that lived across the street from him, various students just wanting to say hi, or in this case...a couple of underage girls trying to hit on him. Lovely. First, it was Keiren, a young woman from his class, a cheerleader, and a server here. Now, Keiren was a nice girl, sweet and independent. Still, it creeped him out, and flattered him at the same time that these two would so blatantly flirt. "Morning sir, looks like you had fun last night, must have been up grading our essays I suppose?" Aaiden straightened up in his stool, blue eyes staring straight at the girl, a tired, yet friendly smile on his face. "Oh, it was a blast." He said in his smooth, baritone, teacher voice.
He stopped for a moment to catch her other words. It was kind of hard to hear in all the noise of the Pub...he only caught the last bit. Have a girlfriend? Aaiden sighed and shook his head, turning around and propping his elbows up on the bar, head down, staring at the paper, a smirk on his face. "No, Miss Silver. I'm still single." He said this in a very calm, teacher-like, neutral manner, except in truth, he was a tad embarrassed. Flattered, but embarrassed nevertheless. Aaiden laughed to himself, a soft, quiet laugh, as if to say, oh god, that was interesting... A few seconds later, Aaiden noticed another person sit down beside him. Out of curiosity, he glanced upward, too lazy to move his head. He knew who it was almost instantly. A cordial smile spread across his lips.
"Brinley." He said, the tired feeling creeping into his voice. My, my. He was seeing a ton of his students today...at a Pub of all places....Odd? Not around here. Still, it was different with Brinley. Aaiden had known her for a good chunk of time, being friends with her brother and all. It was also weird considering the fact that he thought that the girl had a slight crush on him. "Good morning, sir." What was with the 'sir' thing today? Aaiden straightened up again, cleared his throat, and shifted in his stool so he was facing Brinley. "Uhmm" She said, obviously trying to come up with suitable words. Jeez, was he that hard to talk to? The thought made Aaiden frown a bit, but at Brinely's next words, he just had to smile again. “I suppose I shouldn't just call you dork to your face anymore? You prefer behind your back?”
He laughed his sort of proper, baritone laugh. "Probably not."
He paused for a moment to let her order her shirley temple, before delving into the subject of homework.
"I am FAR from torturing you," He said with a small laugh. "It was just an essay. But I could find some ways to torture all of you if you'd like." He declared in a teasing manner.
