Valentine Bryonie Charmichael was the second daughter to be born to johnathon and leanne charmichael. Her older sister Natasha hope charmichael was 6 at the time. Much like her sister she had very few people to play with growing up because her sister had her friends and when they were over valentine was to stay out of the room. she didn't know why nor did she ever ask, Her sister had always asked her politly to stay away and that they would play when her friends were gone, Valentine hated it. She loved her sister and her sister loved her but valentine was lonely and once she showed the sign of what her parents called a gifted kid she was sent off to Marked. a school for kids that were 'marked' as gifted.

Valentine found herself feeling less lonely being in a boarding school. She spent her days, studying, dancing and making clothes. she was happy. She even fell in love, Erik Preston was perfection in valentines eyes. She loved him and he loved her. They spent every waking moment together. he help her coreograph her dance routines and even once or twice preformed the ones for two with her. She had never been so happy. She was always all smile her dancing and clothing designes always got high marks because she had her muse. But her parents dissagreed.

On valentines 15th birthday her parents told her she was never to see Erik again. Val had agreed thinking that her parent would leave and she would still see her boyfriend, this wasn't the case three hours later her bag was packed and she was saying goodbye to the one guy she had truly loved. she said her goodbyes and promised to write. Erik had one more school year then he was gonna become a dance teacher. two years later Valentine reterned to marked academy as an exchange student. Spending her last year as a student there again. She didn't expect him to have a new girlfriend. Zoey. Zoey bradshaw was everything Valentine wasn't, and erik told her he was in love, causing some serious tension between the three of them.

After a fight between valentine and zoey erik came to Valentines dorm to basically tell her off give her detention or whatever only he never made it that far, they started aguing and before val knew it she was waking up naked in bed with him. Not even thinking about it Valentine spent two hours packing brought a plain ticket and withing about 7 hours she was on the doorstep of her sisters apartment in tears. .
