history:

have you ever thought that you were born at the wrong time? well, kiera alyse nichols sure does. kiera was born to her parents alyse and edward at a local hospital a few miles outside of boston. the nichols lived in an apartment in boston, and the only reason her parents were married was because of her. she was the love child. growing-up, the nichols were not fortunate at all. alyse was working two jobs while edward was barely getting by with his job at the law firm.

most of the time, kiera was with her very young grandma, carlyanna, while her parents worked. her first words were 'mama' which she called her grandma, because her parents were rarely around. kiera was a bubbly little girl, until her younger brother, aaron william came along. a few weeks later, the blishfullness of aaron's birth was worn down. alyse learned that she was a victim of breast cancer, and there wasn't much she could do about it. kiera was only six when alyse learned this news. and she remembers her grandma telling her that things weren't going to be easy, at all. the news hit edward the hardest, because he knew his wife was going to succumb to cancer, eventually.

edward barely knew his mother. alyse passed two years later, and it left the nichols torn apart. kiera was eight and was kind of like the little mother to aaron, because edward worked constantly after that, trying to avoid the pain. aaron and kiera lived with their grandparents for most of their younger years. edward's pain was so extreme that he became an alcholic within three years later. kiera didn't realize what was really going on until she was about thriteen. edward was still in rehab and aaron was always asking her and their grandparents about his mother. as soon as edward came back, he proclaimed he had met the love of his life. a former model named geneveive. it was a heart-breaking day when carlyanna and james had to give up their grandchildren.

as the years went on kiera focused on school and wanted to get as far away as possible. one of her goals was to take her brother with her, because they both disapproved of their step-mom and father's lifestyle. she got her wish and is now in college and her younger brother, aaron attends high school in santa monica and is living with her. her grandparents, decided to move as far away as possible and live right next door.
